Cold War Era Gallery

This gallery is for everything covering the 'Cold War' & 'National Service' era which we will take as 1947 up to 1990-91 before the 'First Gulf War', including Tanks, Artillery, Armoured Cars and Trucks. Full kits, conversions or just where a number of Accurate Armour products have been used.


Berlin Brigade Chieftain Mk-10 by Nino Ferrari (Australia). Great finish and weathering of our Chieftain conversion of the old Tamiya kit.

A Caunter Explorer by Jean-Christophe Bondoux (France). A very nice artistic take on our Scammell Explorer (K127) with the Caunter Camouflage scheme applied Post war!

The Mighty Antar by Nick Shuttleworth (UK). A really impressive and neat build of our Mighty Antar Mk-2 Ballast Body Tractor (K165).

Antar & Load by Jean-Christophe Bondoux (France). A very unusual and interesting combination of our RB 17/19 Excavator (K134), Mighty Antar Mk-2 Tractor (K164) and Tasker 50 Ton semi-trailer (K169) kits. Great colours!

Berlin Brigade Chieftain Tankdozer by Nick Shuttleworth (UK) Another fine model from Nick depicting our Chieftain Mk-10 Conversion (C026)(for the Tamiya kit) with our Dozer set C090. Neat paint job!

CET on UN Duty by Steve Plumb (UK) It's a nice, white and ready to swim Combat Engineering Tractor, and a good example of our kit K052S.

The "Big Rig" by Raymond Pritchard (UK). The classic combination of our kits of Mighty Antar Mk-3 (K166) with the Sankey 60 Ton Semi-trailer (K170) with Conqueror Mk-2 Heavy Gun Tank (K028) as the load. A big and impressive project well done.

FOX by Nick Shuttleworth (UK). Very nice version of our CVR(W) Fox kit (K051) with our new etched brass Camouflage net (D44) added around the turret to good effect.

The Chieftain Marksman by Mark Howard (UK). Mark does it again with another really neat model, this time our C091 conversion/update for the Tamiya Chieftain kit.

Berlin Brigade Chieftain ARV Mk-5 by Nick Shuttleworth (UK). Super looking (and brave!) paint scheme on our C067 Chieftain Conversion.

Chieftain ARRV Mk-7 with 432 series Pack hanging by Chris Addis (UK). A very tidy version of our C068 ARRV Mk-7 Conversion for the Tamiya Chieftan kit.

Replenishing all the essential liquids! by Jim Yeats (UK). A very atmospheric diorama featuring a Chieftain,Stalwart and a lot more besides. (and yes lots of jerry cans!)

"Was that a Pig flying?" by Roy Kinsella. Actually a really good NI conversion of our Humber Pig Kit K031, a very nice model.

The CONWAY Tank Destroyer by Mark Howard. Great example of our C042 Conversion on the AFV Club kit.

The Churchill TOAD Flail by Mark Howard (UK). Very nice example of our C066 Conversion.

The CET in the mud by Matt Jackson (UK). Nice views of our CET Kit K052 & cone!

Chieftain by Sven Schroder (Germany). A very neat and nice Chieftain using our conversion sets.

Spartan Minefield RECCE by Hughie Forsyth(UK). Our Spartan (K044) & figures in familiar scene on nice base.

Conqueror Mk-2 by Noh Yeong Park (Korea). A really nice build and paint of our Conqueror kit K028 in a neat groundwork setting. Very nice indeed.
