This 1/35th scale model by David Jane features a full chassis, engine sump, suspension, winch and drive shafts. The wheels are bulged to simulate the vehicle weight, and fine detail such as opening front screens, cab sun-shield, windshield wipers, tie down cleats, steps and drivers' mirrors are included.

On this version with the Mid/Late production cab style, the cab roof contains a hip ring, with a helf sun shield cover, and the rear roof has been covered in canvas, a full set of rolled 'up' or tied 'down' canvas panels is also included to cover the rear body. If shown open the roof panel is supported by rectangular supports (Matador never had tilt bars). David has studied this vehicle (and drawn it at least once!) over many years. It is a favourite of ours, we hope you like it too. This kit contains an extensive decal set for the Royal Artillery which includes a selection of Formation, AoS markings and battery markings for Medium Regiments RA, and for units with either Artillery or HAA weapons, during WW-II from the Western Desert and post war. Vehicle registrations, Air recognition, D-Day movement, names etc are also included.

An Early version (early cab style) (K077) and mid production version with no hip ring (K115) are also available. The standard towed load was the 3.7" HAA Gun (G002) or 4.5" or 5.5" Medium Guns (see below)

1:35th scale is the universal scale of choice for serious and dedicated Military Modelling enthusiasts as it results in the best value combination of cost and detail. Models that are large enough to accurately depict all intricate detail but not so large that they take up too much display space in a typical house. All the major military model kit producers in the world work in 1:35th scale allowing modellers to mix, match, combine and convert all manufacturers products together to create almost every combination of equipment imaginable.

If you do not have a particular "Scale loyalty" then please take time to look carefully at the considerable benefits of working in 1/35th Scale.
