The Semi-trailer, 60 Ton FV3001/3005 was produced by Joseph Sankey & Sons for the Mighty Antar 5th wheel tractors Mk-2 and Mk-3. (The centre image above shows the Mk-3 tractor attached)
Intended for the movement of large & super-heavy AFV's this trailer was the standard unit for moving the Conqueror Heavy Gun Tank and the (lighter!) Chieftain MBT. It had a standard 5th wheel coupling and hydraulically operated ramps and jacks.
This 1/35th scale resin model kit by David Jane and Rob Tearle features etched detail set, full colour decals, load tie-down set, and spare wheels for trailer & tractor. We would also like to thank Paul Gandy & Tim Neate for thier help with this project. |
